Some really great tunes on this one, and as visionary as ever, Jeff Young wasnt just makin us dance in 1990. The Jazzy Jeff / Joe The Butcher track opener is evidence of that, it’s a such a socio-political Steinski-esque monster. Regrettably it didnt make alotta noise. Some top choice X-Clan & Tribe tracks on this Big Beat though, and as per, Jeff was playing LP tracks as well as singles. Ignore the insert tracklisting, that’s for the April show….
